Many congratulations to our future summer student Rosa Nathan, an undergraduate from University College London, who has won a BSCB Summer Studentship to join our lab. Rosa has just completed her second year at UCL where she is studying on an integrated masters programme in Natural Sciences. She has used the flexibility and multidisciplinary nature of the Natural Sciences course to pursue a Biomedical Sciences and Mathematics and Statistics pathway, giving her a great background for the type of research that we do.

Rosa is interested in parasitology, as well as equality in healthcare, so she will join the parasitology side of our lab. Together with Rosie and our longstanding collaborator Catherine Merrick, she will develop tools and methodologies to study genome replication and DNA damage in the malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum.

We are really looking forward to Rosa joining us, and we are very grateful to the BSCB for supporting Rosa's career and research.
