Sarah's squad defeats Oxford in varsity yacht race

Our PhD student Sarah Chapman is commodore of the Cambridge University Yacht Club and has defeated Oxford in the 2024 Varsity Yacht Race. The competition took place over two days of racing in the Solent on matched boats. Six races were originally planned, but after Cambridge won the first four races by a few boat lengths, Oxford conceded defeat. This decisive performance secured Cambridge the Varsity Trophy for the first time in five years.
