We are absolutely delighted that Karen Lee has received a fully-funded MPhil scholarship from the Cambridge Trust and will join us for an MPhil in Pathology this upcoming academic year. Karen will earn her BSc in Biological Sciences with a minor in Health and Society from the University of Chicago. In addition to her studies, Karen has participated in a wide range of activities including providing free piano lessons to students whose schools lack music programmes, organising slam poetry events, and volunteering at the University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital. Karen also spent three years as an undergraduate research assistant in Professor Marsha Rosner's lab in the Ben May Department for Cancer Research where she was admitted to the Biology Research Honors cohort to conduct a one-year honors thesis project. It's fantastic that Karen chose our lab for her next step and we are excited to welcome her to the University of Cambridge in October!
